Iro-Toridori

Takumi’s exhibition Iro-Toridori, is composed of his ceramic pieces that were made after his graduation from Oslo National Academy of the Arts in June, 2021. Expanding his color palettes, he uses various commercial color pigments, gold, and platinum to explore the different glaze happenings that occur during the firing process in the kiln. While he appreciates the primitive ceramic building process, he is also trying to challenge the dogma of ceramic art conventions by incorporating commercial materials and feldspars. 

Takumi Morozumi (b. 1995) is a Japanese artist based in Oslo and Tokyo. Having had the opportunity to travel and live in multiple countries, he questions artistic possibilities through perspectives cultivated from culturally disparate influences.
